URL Forwarding
With our URL forwarding feature, you can redirect your domain name to any URL with a minimum of effort. This is a great option for anyone who wants a personalized domain name for a site hosted on a blogging platform (Wordpress, Blogger, Tumblr) or to forward to an online resume (LinkedIn).
Many of our clients use URL forwarding to create a memorable web address for a site that has a long or hard to remember URL.
- Online Communities: Forward your custom domain to a social network, like Ning or a Facebook Group.
- Realtors: Forward a domain containing your name to your MLS listings
- Recently Engaged: Forward a domain of you and your future spouse's names to an online registry or an engagement announcement
Email Forwarding
Our email forwarding feature allows you to forward email directed to your domain to any address you choose. You can specify forwarding to individual addresses or use our catch-all feature to forward all messages to a designated account.
This feature is particularly useful if you'd like to simplify your email communications with friends, acquaintances or customers. Forward messages to a central address in order to save time and reduce the need to log in to multiple email accounts to find important messages.
DNS Management
Our DNS Control Panel allows you to easily configure advanced domain features as well. This includes adding nameservers for webhosting packages, A Records and CName records. If you have an email hosting package, the DNS panel allows options for setting MX records as well.
Our straightforward, minimalist approach to user interface design allows a high level of functionality and streamlines configuration of your domain's DNS settings.

Domain Renewals
All domain names with United Domains are set on auto-renewal by default, so you won't have to remember to do this manually. That means that after one year your contract is renewed automatically and your credit card on file is charged for a new registration period of one year. If you decide you no longer want to renew your domain, you can deactivate the auto-renew feature by logging in to your account and changing this on the Billing and Renewal section. This will set the domain to expire at the end of the current registration period. |
